– Determine the insulation coefficient called K. For greenhouses in general, we’ll use a coefficient between 3 and 4.

The formula is as follows:

P = Volume x DELTA T x K

Which fuel to choose?

Mobile, this heater can be placed outside the greenhouse, with the diffusion sheath inside. Connected to a tank or running on its own integrated reservoir, this heater can operate completely independently. When the temperature falls below that set on the thermostat, the heater switches on automatically.

If you opt for oil-fired heating (hot-air cannon), installation will be easy. This product is handy, robust and functional. This heater can also be installed indoors, taking care to vent burnt gases outside.

If you heat your greenhouse with electric heaters. (electric unit heaters), it’s often necessary to have a three-phase power supply and an adjusted wattage. A generator can be hired according to the power required.
